Hey! My name is Juliet Jones-Rodney, I am a singer-songwriter, actor, writer, model and producer based out of Tkaronto. I have been creating stories for as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories are of me performing for my family, singing the little songs I had created to show them or singing along to the music my mom would play around the house.

As I have gotten older that love for art has evolved, I began writing a play while I was a student at Humber College, but shortly before the COVID19 pandemic I left, though I kept writing and in 2021 I was able to bring that show to life through the Paprika Theatre Festival’s Playwright Unit where I was mentored by Creator and Playwright Bilal Baig. My show Forest for the Trees was a story about a family of women struggling to ground themselves after the death of their matriarch.

In 2022 I kept working on writing, working on Just Us, a show about Black Love interrupted under the mentorship of Donna Michelle St Bernard and Nightwood Theatre’s Write From the HIp Program. Through this show and the use of poetry in it I found myself experimenting with writing music again and decided to release Free Falling, my first Single.

This reignited my passion for performance and music and I decided to chase the dream. In 2023 I followed up with 2 singles Signs and Distance and began cultivating relationships with creatives around the city across art forms. In 2024 I am looking forward to releasing more music, finishing Just Us and connecting with audiences and creatives around Tkaronto.
